Auxiliary Unit 589

The American Legion Auxiliary is a patriotic organization that serves veterans, their families, and their communities. With a mission to support and advocate for veterans, the American Legion Auxiliary offers a variety of programs and services to help those who have served our country. From volunteering at VA hospitals to providing scholarships for children of veterans, the American Legion Auxiliary is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those who have sacrificed so much our country.

Our Story

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 589 was chartered on June 24, 1942 in Salinas California with the purpose of supporting veterans, their families, and the community. Throughout the years, the unit has organized various events and initiatives to honor and assist veterans, promote patriotism, and provide scholarships and educational opportunities for young people. Today, the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 589 continues to serve as a vital part of the community and a beacon of support for those who have served our country.
